Glamping Washington County

As promised, we want to keep you regularly updated on our Epic Glamping adventures. I don’t know about you guys, but we’re really enjoying the cooler temps and most importantly, digital detox. A popular spot lately for our clients to get away from it all has been in Western MD’s Greenbrier area.

This stunning area has a State Park and some private camping locations to choose from, many within walking distance to a 42 acre lake for fishing, SUP’ing, swimming or kayaking. The white sandy beaches transition over to eleven miles of hiking trails, so plenty of options to have fun and enjoy some fresh air. One of the camping areas has electricity AND allows dogs, so naturally, most clients select this one. Worth noting, Greenbrier was very quiet at night, ideal for those that simply want to relax around the campfire with friends and family.

If you are staying in this area and want to enjoy some scenic hiking, a great option is to hit the AT.  Some popular day hikes include hiking from Greenbrier State Park to Annapolis Rock and Black Rock, from Greenbrier to Washington Monument State Park, and from Gathland State Park to Weverton Cliffs.

Is Biking more your thing? We’ve got you covered (see what we did here?) with the C & O Canal. Bicycle riding is permitted on the canal towpath, Western Maryland Rail Trail, Capital Crescent Trail, and Berma Road -  The surface of the towpath is for the most part an even hard-packed dirt trail.

Looking to WINE down and listen to live music outside before going back to your Glampsite? This area has quite a few gorgeous wineries to visit including; Big Cork and Red Heifer. Interested in grabbing a local beer, try Cushwa Brewery and be sure to check out Rad Pies Pizza next door.

This fall has been so eventful as we have been busy setting up backyard birthday glamps while also training for an ultramarathon. When we aren’t spending our time running around (quite literally), we have loved helping others make some fun memories during this challenging time.

Some highlights over the last couple of months include; backyard sleepover parties with the big screen, glamping on a farms, catered glamping with chefs, partnering with Waradeca Brewing Company and decorating tons of spooky yurts for Halloween parties.

Right now we are starting to book up for Christmas and New Years Eve celebrations. Think happy hour parties under the dancing LED lights while listening to Christmas music (Alexa, play Mariah Careys- All I Want for Christmas is Yurts!) We are currently offering Gift Certificates for future Glamping because let’s face it, 2020 is the perfect year to give the gift of a unique experience.

Our hearts are full as we have loved all of the positive feedback we’ve been getting from our customers and look forward to helping you cross glamping off your bucket list. Give us a call to chat about your Glamping dates, We could all use a little FaLaLaLaLa these days and we’re happy to customize your experience to make it festive!
